Here at SportsTalk, we’re casual guys (and gals). We don’t take things too seriously, but there are a few exceptions.

The major exception is the quality of online sportsbooks. “A fair number” is still a long, long way from “all” or even “many”. When you see an online sportsbook, it’s still smart to be a bit suspicious and critical. And there are indeed more online sportsbooks now than ever before…and most of them still have some work to do before they’re a solid choice (once again, we’re being kind — the majority of online sportsbooks are either intentional scams or far too shaky to consider putting your money and/or personal information in their hands).

Now that we’ve scared you, here’s the good news: there are a handful of sports betting websites that have conclusively proven themselves to be fair and safe.

We’re a little bit pickier than some. We’re also willing to admit that there are a few sportsbooks that pay us to advertise them, so we can forgive you for wondering if we can be trusted (good for you!). When we make a recommendation, we don’t want you to take our word alone.

In a perfect world, you’d do some extra research and then come back to us (when you see that most reputable sources agree with our choices!) for the “final click”, so to speak.
